| Special functions | Easy to install, easy to useUsing a telephone can be truly enjoyable thanks to the handy features of the Gigaset E290. It all starts with installation: Plug-and-play technology means you don't need complicated setup - simply unpack, connect, and start talking. Matte surfaces on the side of the handset ensure a secure grip, and the intuitive menu makes using the phone even easier. The large phonebook can store up to 150 contacts. You can also save up to 32 numbers to a blacklist and specify whether calls from these numbers are blocked or visually signaled (i.e., not ringing). Anonymous calls can be treated the same way, so you won't be bothered by annoying callers. As loud and clear as you needThanks to the volume control during a call and the ability to set multiple ringtones, you can flexibly adapt the Gigaset E290's audio features to your needs. The phone's volume can be adjusted to five different levels, and in some cases, the amplifier function can be used to double the call volume during a call. Whether you're using the handset or in speakerphone mode, you can rely on superior sound quality and exceptionally clear voice reproduction. Hearing aid compatibility and the ability to adjust the frequency range to the individual hearing abilities of the caller make using the phone a pleasant experience for users of all ages.ECO DECT for Radiation-Free CallsLike all Gigaset cordless phones, the E290 series models are equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when using multiple handsets, provided the base and all connected handsets support ECO DECT technology. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the handset and the base. The closer the distance to the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, ECO DECT mode can be deactivated at any time. |
